The hotel offers excellent access to skiing with lifts just meters away, and the ambiance is perfect for unwinding after a day's activities. However, the dining experience had room for improvement, particularly with the breakfast selection and service efficiency. The overall comfort of the rooms is notable, paired with the well-maintained facilities. Despite some drawbacks, the stay was enjoyable and worth the investment.

Rooms
8.0
The loft room was spacious and well-decorated, though the bathroom felt a bit basic. The view from the room was lovely, especially noticeable during breakfast.
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly, they often seemed overwhelmed and not fully attentive. It took a while to get menus and orders processed during dining, which could be improved.
Location
9.0
The location is perfect for skiing, with easy access to shops and lifts. The convenience of having ski rentals directly in the hotel added to the overall experience.
Dining
5.0
Though the food was tasty, the breakfast pricing and limited options were disappointing, especially for a hotel of this caliber.
Facilities

The hotel has modern facilities and a lovely bar area for relaxation after skiing, which adds to the overall experience.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel, particularly enjoying the ski-in/ski-out access and the newly revamped spa, which was perfect after a long day on the slopes. The staff was very attentive and the family suite we had worked really well for us. However, I did experience some hiccups with the dining service, which could definitely use improvement.

Rooms
8.0
The family suite was spacious and suited our needs well, though I feel that some areas could benefit from a refurbishment.
Service

Most of the staff were lovely and really anticipated our needs, but there were some delays in service, particularly during dining times.
Location
10.0
The location was fantastic, right opposite a convenient ski lift, making it easy to hit the slopes first thing in the morning.
Dining
6.0
Dining had its ups and downs; while some meals were quite good, we often faced long wait times that were quite frustrating.
Facilities
8.0
The spa and pool area were excellent and a welcomed retreat after skiing, though more staff at the pool would help improve service.

The Grandes Rousses Hotel offers an incredible ski-in, ski-out experience with stunning views of the mountains. The staff truly enhance the stay with their attentiveness and personalized service. The dining options are of high quality, although the menu could benefit from more variety over a longer stay. The spa and outdoor pool area are delightful additions, but the temperature outside made the latter less enjoyable at times.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were cosy and offered excellent mountain views, although they were slightly cold in the evening and lacked clear instructions for using the amenities.
Service

Overall, the service was attentive and quick, with staff going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable, although there were a few confusing moments regarding bookings.
Location

The dining experience featured high-quality meals, although the lack of menu variety over the week could be a concern for long stays.
Facilities

The hotel boasts a lovely spa and outdoor pool, which are great for unwinding after skiing, though the temperature made it less appealing at times.

I had an unforgettable stay at this ski hotel, which offered exceptional ski-in/ski-out access and stunning views of the Alps that left me in awe every morning. The accommodations were elegant and comfortable, creating a lovely atmosphere. The dining experience could use a bit of variety since the menus at the restaurants became repetitive over a week, but the quality of the food was impressive. Overall, I felt the hotel delivered great value, especially with its excellent service and amenities.

Rooms

The room was beautifully furnished and offered breathtaking mountain views, making waking up a delightful experience.

While the food was of high quality, the limited menu options could become repetitive for longer stays.

During my stay, I found the hotel to have some excellent aspects, especially the helpful staff and the beautiful decor. However, some areas, particularly dining services, left much to be desired. The ski-in/ski-out access was convenient, but the overall value for money didn't quite match the expectations set by the hotel's rating.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was nicely decorated but on the smaller side, and the unpleasant smell was a bit off-putting.
Service
5.0
While some staff were brilliant and attentive, I encountered inconsistencies in service quality, with the concierge being hit or miss.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s ski-in/ski-out access is fantastic, making it easy to enjoy the slopes and nearby restaurants.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a letdown; breakfast offerings were basic, and dinner service was slow. The flagship restaurant didn't meet expectations.
Facilities
7.0
The spa facilities were enjoyable, but there were some operational teething problems in other areas like the ski locker set-up.
